Since I navigate the world with vision loss myself, I know firsthand that not everyone communicates the same way, or has the same needs when it comes to reaching out. Accessibility isn’t just something I write about, it’s something I try to practice here, starting with something as simple as how you get in touch.

I read what people send me. Actually read it, not skim it while thinking about the next task on my list. If you ask me something and I don’t know the answer, I’ll tell you that honestly rather than making something up to sound helpful. And if a question takes me a day or two to get back to you properly, that’s because I’m actually thinking about what you asked, not because you’ve been forgotten.

A Little More About Why This Matters to Me
I’ve spent a good part of my life advocating for people, first for myself, and eventually for others. That background shapes how I approach this site and how I want to show up when someone reaches out to me. I don’t believe in overwhelming people with jargon or making anyone feel like they need to have it all figured out before they ask a question. You don’t need prior experience with any of this. You don’t need to know exactly what you’re looking for. You just need to be curious enough to ask.
If you’re a caregiver, if you live with a disability, if you’re juggling more than most people realize, I understand that because I’ve lived it, not just read about it. This site, and this contact page specifically, exists because I wanted a place where people in situations like mine could get real answers without added pressure.
