That is the real focus of this page: the basics, the everyday pieces that make up most of what actually gets worn, and how I have found real versions of them through this membership without paying full retail for any of it.

What Counts as a Basic?
When I say basics, I mean the pieces that are not exciting to shop for but that you reach for constantly. Plain tops. Everyday jeans. Undergarments. Socks. A swimsuit you can actually wear to the pool without worrying about it. These are not the flashy purchases, but they are the basics that matter most, since they get worn the most.
I think a lot of us underestimate how much of what we actually wear falls into this category. A statement piece might get more attention the day you buy it, but it does not get worn nearly as often as a plain top that goes with everything else in your closet. Basics are doing the quiet, unglamorous work of getting you dressed most days, and that is exactly why I think they deserve more attention than they usually get on a page like this one.
There is a cost side to it too, and it is part of why I pay attention to this category specifically. A $40 statement blouse you wear twice a year works out to $20 a wear. An $8 basic top you wear every other week for a year costs pennies by comparison. I am not saying never buy anything exciting or fun. I am saying the basics are where steady, ongoing savings actually add up, since you are replacing or adding to them far more often than you are buying something flashy.
Finding Basics Through Fun Finds
I found this out for myself twice, actually, both times through Fun Finds. The first was a blazer I bought for $8. I will admit I was skeptical going in. An $8 blazer sounds like exactly the kind of claim that turns into a letdown once it actually shows up. So when mine arrived, I opened the package expecting something thin and poorly stitched.
That is not what I got. The blazer was noticeably higher quality than I expected, the kind of fabric and stitching I would have guessed cost three or four times what I paid. I have worn it more than once since, and it still looks and feels the same as the day it arrived. It is exactly the kind of basic, versatile piece I mean, something that works with almost anything else in a closet.
The second was a tankini bathing suit, also $8, also through Fun Finds. I was not shopping for a swimsuit specifically. It was simply there when I happened to be browsing, and at that price, I decided to try it rather than think it over for a week. I have been genuinely pleased with it. It fits well, it has held up through regular wear, and it did not feel like a swimsuit I paid $8 for.
Fun Finds is where I have had the most luck with basics like these. It is not a scheduled event, there is nothing you have to show up for at a specific time. You browse when you think of it, the way I do most days, and you see what happens to be there.
What About Drops?
Drops works a little differently than Fun Finds. New items release at a specific time each weekday, 7 PM Eastern, and if something catches your eye, it is worth acting on fairly quickly rather than coming back to it later, since popular items do not last. What Pro Membership Adds
I want to be honest about this next part, since honesty matters more to me than making every feature sound perfect. Pro membership is built to add ongoing savings and cash back at stores you likely already shop at, on top of what you find through Fun Finds and Drops. Actually, the PRO membership also provides lower prices for fun finds. I have not personally used the savings or cash back feature yet, so I am not going to pretend I have a specific number to share with you the way I can with the blazer or the tankini.
What I can tell you is why the idea makes sense to me even without a personal result to point to. Most of us already spend money at the same handful of stores out of habit, whether that is for groceries, household basics, or clothing. If a membership can quietly save you money and return a percentage of money you were going to spend anyway, that is a different kind of value than a one-time deal on a single item. I plan to actually use this feature and will update this page with a real example once I have one, rather than leave a vague promise sitting here indefinitely.
How I Actually Shop This Way
If I am honest, I do not shop with any real strategy. I am not the kind of person who plans ahead or keeps a list of exactly what I am looking for. I check Fun Finds when I think of it, and that is where both the blazer and the tankini found me. I’ve also learned to pay a little more attention around 7 PM Eastern on weekdays, since that is when new Drops release, even though my own basics have come from Fun Finds so far. Between the two, the basics I actually need tend to show up eventually, usually when I am not looking for them at all.
Is This Right for You?
If you like a plan, a schedule, or a guarantee of exactly what will be available and when, this membership will ask you to loosen up a little. Fun Finds and Drops both reward checking in casually rather than shopping with a specific list. But if you are like me, someone who would rather stumble onto a good basic than hunt for one, and you are tired of paying full price for the plain, everyday pieces that make up most of your closet anyway, this is worth a look.

An $8 blazer that still looks new after repeated wear, and an $8 tankini that held up through a summer of actual use, are not results I expected from a basics page like this one. I did not go looking for either purchase. Both simply turned up while I was browsing Fun Finds the way I normally do, and both changed how much I trust the prices here.
