Hi, I’m Debbie! I’m really glad you stopped by. Here’s a little about us…and about me.
My involvement here didn’t come from a polished business plan or a sudden idea to “build something online.” It came from my real life, my experiences, and a need to create something that actually works within my daily routines.
Living and Working with Vision Loss
I’m legally blind and use a guide dog, which means I navigate the world a little differently than most people. Living with vision loss has shaped how I approach almost everything, from how I learn, to how I work, to how I solve problems.
My disability taught me flexibility, creativity, patience, and persistence. It’s also made me deeply aware that there is no one-size-fits-all way to live, work, or grow.
Accessibility isn’t a buzzword to me. It’s personal. It’s practical. It influences how I share information, explore opportunities, and design this space.
Caregiving Changed Everything
In addition to being legally blind, I’m also a caregiver for my mother, who is in the early stages of dementia. Caregiving changes your life in ways that are hard to explain unless you’ve lived it.
Your priorities shift. Your schedule becomes unpredictable. Some days are manageable; others are emotionally and mentally exhausting. Over time, I realized that traditional employment, with fixed hours and rigid expectations, simply wasn’t compatible with my life anymore.
I needed something different.
Why Flexible, At-Home Work Mattered
I needed a way to work from home. I needed flexibility. I needed to comfortably pay my bills and still have a little extra breathing room. Most importantly, I needed work that could adapt to my life, not the other way around. That need is what led me to start exploring online income opportunities.
Learning the Hard Way (and the Honest Way)
I explored carefully and methodically. I quickly learned that the online space can be noisy and overwhelming. There’s a lot of hype, a lot of exaggerated promises, and not nearly enough honest, grounded information.
I spent time researching what was legitimate, what wasn’t, and what felt ethical and sustainable. I tested things. I asked questions. I paid attention to what actually made sense for someone balancing caregiving, disability, and real-life responsibilities.
My involvement grew out of that learning process: not perfection, not overnight success, but steady exploration.

A Little More About Me
Beyond this work, I live a full life. I’m also a disability advocate, author, worship dancer and singer, and an active participant in organizations focused on leadership, service, and personal growth. I’ve spent years working with groups that value empowerment and inclusion. Those experiences shape how I show up here: with compassion, curiosity, and a belief that opportunity should be accessible and realistic.
As a disability advocate, I believe accessibility and inclusion should never be treated as afterthoughts. Everyone deserves the opportunity to participate fully in life, whether that means education, technology, employment, community involvement, or simply being heard and respected. Advocacy has taught me the importance of persistence, compassion, and speaking up when change is needed. Learn more about disability advocacy.
As an author, I love the power of storytelling and honest conversation. Writing gives me a way to share experiences, ideas, lessons, encouragement, and sometimes even the messy parts of life that people do not always talk about openly. Words have the ability to connect people, challenge perspectives, inspire growth, and remind us that we are not alone in our struggles or successes. Purchase my books on Amazon.
As a worship dancer and singer, my faith and creativity have always been deeply connected. Worship allows me to express joy, gratitude, healing, and emotion in ways that words alone sometimes cannot. Music and movement have been part of my journey for many years, helping me stay grounded, encouraged, and connected to something greater than myself.
As a participant in growth organizations, I have been blessed with opportunities to learn, lead, serve, and connect with incredible people from many different backgrounds. Organizations like the National Federation of the Blind, Toastmasters International, and Lions Clubs International have challenged me to grow personally and professionally while strengthening my passion for leadership, communication, service, and community.
